First day of kindergarten?
My four year old preschool will be starting soon. This is the first time will be around people who are not members of the family. I know this may be a little difficult for him because he is very attached to my mother and father. Any suggestions to relieve her? What type of things to include in your backpack? This is my only child so its the first time that I, too, and I have no idea what to do! I think I'm more worried why my four years of age. Any suggestions from other parents would be great. Thanks!
I've only had my 2 year old to preschool – Three hours a day, five days a week. Our this stage is slightly different because my husband and I both work, so accustomed to being in care of another person, but she has always been at home with a babysitter, so being away from home in the care of strangers and other children were all new and different. We have prepared to talk about it in advance. We had to run the school often and point and say that she must go to school soon. We're happy when we talk to her about it, I tell him how much fun it would be, how she should get to play and sing and meet other children. This may sound strange, but one thing that helped me was this – a day when we were in the house of another couple. The man is very small-like, bubbly kid, so when I told my daughter the first day school approached, he gave his usual over the top reaction and said YAY, go to school, is so large that it will be so much fun! I mean really Hammed up. And she just smiled a big smile. So I think that is one thing for you to talk about it, but when others outside the family to reinforce the positive, There is a strong message. We also visited the school in advance, as during an open day, can help guide children before the first day. My daughter's preschool had an open day planned, but I pushed and went, and the planned one, so if your child's school planned to ask them to schedule a one – only may surprise you.
