Gaming PC Web is looking for PC Gaming (Hardware / Software) Bloggers

Gaming Computers

PC Games

PC Gaming

PC Gaming Hardware

That pretty much sums up what we’re all about. We’ve just launched, as you can probably tell. I’ve been around PC Gaming and PC Hardware for almost 20 years now. Wow, that makes one feel old to actually read that, considering back in my day the kids didn’t have PCs at 4. A website that combines the PC Game as much as the PC Hardware is one I want. I couldn’t find one to suit all of my tastes, so I decided to start my own instead.

Currently, we’re feeding from some of the top PC Gaming and PC Hardware sites. Unlike some websites, we give credit where credit is due. We don’t re-write, and every post has a link to the original website. We respect their work.

Obviously, the ultimate goal is to have original content. So, this is a call out to the PC Gaming community. We’re looking for a few good bloggers.

What’s in it for you?

Fame? Yes. Already have a website? You get links and advertising to it. Or, you can use this to launch your journalistic/blogging career. The possibilities are endless! Really! :)

Fortune? Not so much, this is an unpaid gig. You would be doing this for the love of your hobby. Eventually, it could turn into money for you. Especially if you have a current website, or are looking for a stepping stone to be a full-time paid contributor to a publication, website, etc. Who knows, GamingPCWeb takes off and maybe we’ll all be paid contributors.

Interested? Email me at joe@gamingpcweb.com — Some examples of your work would be nice.

Free Mass Effect 2 armor and weapon coming Tuesday

Filed under: Downloads, RPG, Mass Effect Series

BioWare promised last week that some free downloads would be coming for Mass Effect 2 players and today they revealed that a new armor and a new weapon will be made available via the game’s Cerberus Network sometime on Tuesday. The first item, the Cerberus assault armor, increase health, sheilds and heavy weapon ammo by 10 percent for the player character that uses it.

The new weapon that will be included in the update is the M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun which uses armor-piercing rounds and has a longer range than normal shotguns. If you use it be aware that this weapon “violates several intergalactic weapons treaties.” Which of course makes us want this even more.

Next Medal of Honor game now due in third quarter 2010

It looks like Electronic Arts is going back to war a bit faster than anticipated. During their financial press release today, the publisher announced that their next Medal of Honor game is now currently scheduled to be released in their second 2011 fiscal quarter, which means a third quarter 2010 calendar release (between July and September).

The game’s earlier release is perhaps a way for EA to get the game out before Activision releases their next Call of Duty game which, while not officially announced is expected to be released in the fall quarter of 2010. As we have reported before, the new Medal of Honor game is set in modern day Afghanistan and will feature a single player campaign made by EA’s Los Angeles studios and multiplayer modes made by Digital Illusions.
